We focus to keep proper perspective, in work + life.
When we’re working towards something, we can often fall short of the expectations we place on ourselves.
Maybe a surefire deal fell through at the last minute. Maybe the promotion we swore we’d have months ago is still in the works. Or, maybe we set a goal to meditate every day, but we can’t even seem to find five minutes… ever.
Whatever it is, give yourself permission to be right where you are in the process.
The only thing that is ever required is that we do our best. Sometimes that means we go above + beyond our expectations, and sometimes, that means we fall short.
So, let go of the guilt, pressure, + frustration — it only gets in the way. Instead, try to give yourself permission to be right where you are in the process.
We can be kind to ourselves, while pushing towards our goals. It just requires a little faith that we’re always moving in the right direction, + that no effort is ever wasted.
